The department aims to prepare dentists with scientific qualifications quite competitive to those of the solid Universities in the developed countries.

To prepare qualified graduates to serve the community in dentistry and dentist surgery with high competence, also to let the graduates enjoy the requirements of their work that go with the development of this career.

Goals

1. To develop the pedagogical programmes and to use the modern theoretical applications in all topics.

2. The maximum use of the most updated  devices imported from accredited sources along with the use of explanatory films to facilitate the scientific potentials of our outputs.

3. To encourage students participation in the specialised seminars and the collective work in order to increase the outputs potential to face the future challenges.

4. To manipulate the int. Scientific talents that improve the status of the graduates in dentistry.

Established 2013
5-year study 

Dentistry Dept. Was found 2013 and it admits high school graduates  /science branch with a score of no less than %80. Period of study is 5 years, the first three cover the basics whereas the fourth and fifth years are academic and clinical. Students usually pursue their training in a dentistry teaching hospital affiliated to the department. The students graduate after meeting the entire requirements to gain the B. Sc. Degree in Dentistry.

The department aims to teach and train students who graduate as competent dentists to offer treatment services in dentistry.

The department attempts to offer its educational services by using the scientific procedures and modern technology. Its educational programmes cope with the latest scientific development along with their applications and reflections on the community. This contributes to achieving the economic and social development goals in Iraq.
