Academic Freedom Policy of Al-Esraa University College

Since its founding in 2013, Al-Esraa University College has adopted and implemented academic freedom. Academic freedom refers to the duty and obligation of all faculty to pursue their academic endeavors with candor, recognizing that while all members working at the University College as well as provides the environment that permits faculty members to pursue their scholarly endeavors of teaching, research, and related activities at institutions of higher education.

This policy applies to University College faculty members with official teaching, research, or support obligations. Academic freedom thus reflects the circumstances necessary for the University College to perform its goal of generating new knowledge and successfully disseminating acquired information and understanding to students and the general public.

Al-Esraa University College considers its academics to be citizens, members of learned professions, and College representatives. When the faculty member talks or publishes as a citizen, he or she is exempt from institutional censorship or discipline; nonetheless, the faculty person's unique position in the community imposes additional responsibility.
