Vision, mission and goals

Vision:

      The College of Arts attempts to be a leading faculty  in the field of scientific research, sound thinking, community service, quality control and accreditation on the local, regional and international levels. The College believes that good education must adapt to the surrounding developments, so it seeks to include good study plans. The College has a number of skills added to the specialization subjects, which are Skills needed by society and work to prepare students to succeed after graduation. Besides, it seeks to achieve leadership and excellence   education, knowledge production and dissemination, and community service  to realize an advanced position among the faculties of arts in Iraqi and Arab universities.

Message

The college mission is to enhance the integrity of scientific research of its teaching staff members and motivate its students to build a distinguished scientific personality that qualifies them to be active in building their society and meeting its social, cultural and intellectual needs,  and also in consolidating mechanisms of anti-violence thinking  and disbelief. It consolidates a system of peaceful coexistence in the Iraqi society and  provide advanced programs in the various humanities specialties in accordance with scientific standards aiming to secure graduates who compete in the social , scientific and knowledge development of the society and to adhere to spiritual, moral and professional values, support human rights, preserve the Arabic language and its heritage, and make optimal use of technology as much as possible. It also seeks to produce researches that contribute to community service and competencies in foreign languages, sociology, translation, libraries and data. Since the individual represents the optimal target, then his building is entitled to those in charge of change. The College of Arts lies accountable in setting up an individual who attempts to realize completeness through being prepared to practical and scientific life and to become generally productive in the human endeavor.

Goals

1.  Improving the academic level of the college (students, teaching staff, and employees)

2.  Creating requirements that enable a better teaching climate for students and teachers.  

3.  Set plans and provide requirements that enable improvement and expansion in response to the labor market and community service.

4.   Implement the requirements and adopt procedures that enable college to obtain a certificate of academic accreditation.

5.  Enhance the quality control standards to secure the application of international standards in university education.

6.  Care giving to educational and ethical sides of students and seeking to disseminate tolerance spirit.

7.  Enhance ties and relations between the college and the different social segments.
