The Scientific Affairs Department operates as an independent entity contributing to the advancement of knowledge, facilitating the scientific dedication of faculty members, improving research dissemination, and updating scientific curricula. It also aims to create a conducive scientific environment and adopt modern methodologies in both theoretical and applied scientific research, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge in various scientific and humanitarian disciplines.

Currently, scientific research faces harsh conditions and challenging obstacles, not only in terms of the availability of laboratories and necessary equipment for conducting scientific research but also regarding the publication of results in reputable scientific journals. Therefore, the Scientific Affairs Department takes on the responsibility of organizing diverse workshops to facilitate this task and enhance the foundations of scientific research in all its aspects. Additionally, it provides support and consultation at all times to ensure the success of this mission, serving as a place for researchers to interact and discuss various research areas.

The Scientific Affairs Department strongly strives to collaborate with international universities through coordinating the sending of faculty members to conduct distinguished scientific research, whether through scientific dedications, missions, or research fellowships. It serves as a converging point to showcase the achievements of researchers at the university, including scientific accomplishments, patents, and continuous scientific publications, among other diverse scientific aspects.

Objectives

The objectives of the Scientific Affairs Department include raising the level of scientific publication, focusing on publishing and e-learning, as well as facilitating the completion of scientific dedications for faculty members. The department also works towards adopting projects aimed at updating and developing university libraries and curricula for undergraduate and postgraduate studies (recently accredited).

Additionally, the department encourages collaborative scientific research within the university and international cooperation, with the aim of developing the level of national research. The department endeavors to enhance collaboration among different researchers within the university, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and expertise and improving the quality of research.
