Under the patronage of Dean of Al-Esraa University College, Prof. Dr. Abdel Razzaq Al-Majidi, and the support of the Asst. Dean for Scientific Affairs and the Head of the Department of Architecture,  Ms. Maha Hakki, Ms. Dania Salah, Ms. Zahra Samir, and engineer Nabaa Sadiq participated in a workshop entitled "Principles and Concepts of Historic Preservation and Sustainable Development" which was organized  by the Training and Development Center in the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Municipalities  Thursday 10/27/2022.
Delivering a presentation as such, Dr. Venus Suleiman from the University of Technology gave a lecture related to the topic defined. During the workshop, El Esraa teachers contributed to the discussions that took place after the workshop which was also attended by a number of attendees from state offices and other universities. The present workshop dealt with the topic defined and with the importance of the methods used to achieve the historical preservation and the significant architectural value buildings in Iraq that need historical preservation. The workshop also highlighted the relationship of preservation with the sustainable development that is based on the country’s economy. Besides, it tackled its standing among world countries due to the nature of its buildings as well as its cultural, historical and architectural areas. Our teachers were given warm welcom by Dr. Muhammad Al-Hassani, Director of the Training and Development Department in the Ministry, and by Dr. Venus Suleiman from the University of Technology.
