Vision:

To attempt to build academic products that compete with mutual counter parts in other academic institutions in engineering sciences and to keep up with scientific and the most modern factual executive standards in the field of building engineering and projects Management in accordance with the national establishments standards.

Message:

1- to build the leadership quality for graduation through teaching the skillful art of leadership and to research ways and means of solving problems and team work spirit and to uphold quality and professional behavior

2- To enact the role of the department in formalizing mutual work plans to exchange experience, knowledge and joint conferences with relevant scientific establishments to uphold quality assurance standards and academic accreditation at the quality and quantity levels on the implementation of the scientific programs of the building engineering and project management

3- to ensure a suitable level of the laboratories of the department compatible with the requirements of quality assurance standards and academic  accreditation of good lab practices (GLP) and the pursuit for continuous development on top of the development of the task forces in these specialized labs.

Targets:

1- To graduate engineers with the capability of implementing design aptitude and management in the construction of engineering projects combined with the computer applications of information’s technology.

2- Preparation of graduate engineers upholding full understanding of the Iraqi and international standards specifications in various specialized engineering fields.

3- To prepare scientific consultancy and research studies to solve technical and practical issues to the beneficiary clients on governmental and local public levels.

4- To keep up with the current research inclinations of further developing building materials and to better their properties in line with the regulation of the quality control works.
