Vision:
Cybersecurity engineering, which is a branch of modern technology that contributes to protecting systems, networks, and programs from cyberattacks, as the cybersecurity specialty links network engineering and cybersecurity engineering and focuses its attention on protecting data in all its forms during its transfer, storage, and transmission across networks.
The period of study in the department is four years, during which the student receives information on various topics, such as electrical circuits, databases, website design, and artificial intelligence, according to a study program that keeps pace with the latest developments and needs in the labor market for cybersecurity specializations.
Department objectives:
- Graduating specialized engineers in the networks and cybersecurity sector equipped with knowledge and skills
-Building a cadre capable of managing and protecting cybersecurity and computer networks and securing them against electronic attacks
- Providing students with various skills that enable them to reach advanced roles in government institutions and the private sector
- Providing health institutions with specialized cadres that contribute to finding alternatives and solutions to problems resulting from medical devices.
- Preparing engineering cadres who possess the scientific and technical skills that enable them to be proficient in dealing with operations and using security vulnerability scanning tools to discover various technical problems, follow up on failure and evaluate security patches, mitigate security vulnerabilities, and provide assistance in security documentation and disaster recovery solutions.
4. Preparing engineering cadres who possess the technical and scientific skill that enables them to analyze data records and conduct risk assessments in the event of security violations to know which parts of the system have been hacked and where the danger lies. And to penetrate data and secure systems to explore potential weak points in order to ensure the safety of network systems
