Optical technique department is one of the active health and medical departments in the university, established in 2022. the university provided it with all possibilities to make it distinct from other similar departments in the other universities and colleges by having efficient and special staff and up to date equipment for optical examination and diagnosis

The Department of Optical Techniques aspires to have a unique scientific position in the scientific,  academic and practical community,  with distinguished outputs theoretically and practically,  and it has an effective applied role in harmony with the requirements of the labormarket and keep up with it.

Message: 

Rehabilitation of a graduate of the Department of Optical Techniques to work in governmental and private eye hospitals and health centers,  capable of working in a distinguished manner,  with a high quality level of education and with efficient skills in the fields of vision correction,  determining the degree of vision,  correcting strabismus,  suggesting the type of lenses and manufacturing alternatives.

Objectives: 

The Department of Optical Techniques  aims to prepare and equip specialized cadres in the field of optics techniques to check eyesight,  degree of vision,  correct squint,  suggest the type of lenses,  manufacture alternatives, work in workshops for fitting lenses for medical glasses, use medical computers in vision examinations and corrections,  prescribe medical glasses,  contact lenses,  various ophthalmic and optical alternatives,  and repair Eyeglasses and attention to optical medical devices and care for them,  through the continuous modernization and continuous development of curricula and study plans in all scientific and practical fields,  while securing teaching staff in universities and institutes to serve the community.
